Project Description

The Lobster is a dystopian film that satirical comments on our need to find partners based on superficial parameters of compatibility. The style employed is emotionless, uncomfortable and unnatural. Based on an an in depth analysis of the themes and general style of the film, I decided to make the title sequence abstract and symbolic to complement the conceptual qualities of the film. I thought parallax animation or animating still photographs would be an appropriate style to encapsulate the unnatural, awkward almost non-human like quality of the film.
